I can hardly believe it but it has been a whole month since we got back from our first family holiday in Majorca. As you can probably imagine, I massively over packed. We had 2 suitcases full to the brim and we only wore about half of the clothes we packed. Although we took things with us we didn’t need, there was one thing I really couldn’t have lived without and it made our holiday so much easier. That item was our newly purchased Wilton Bradley beach tent.
Leo and Daddy loving the new tent! |
About a month before we jetted off to sunny Majorca we decided a beach tent would be perfect for making our days at the seaside easier and more comfortable for everyone. A quick Google search revealed hundreds of the things but we decided on this Wilton Bradley tent from The Suncare Shop.
Our little camp. |
Unlike any normal tent, the Wilton Bradley beach tent offers UPF 40 sun protection. I worry so much about Leo being in the sun so it was great to know we had a place he could go to keep out of direct sunlight but also still be protected. On days where the temperature was soaring past 30 the tent was the perfect place to hide out. There was plenty of space for the 3 of us to sit and eat our picnic while being sheltered from the midday sun.

Thanks to the UPF protection the inside of the tent never got too hot. I’m not saying it was cool in there but you could definitely tell the difference. We packed a picnic every day and left it in the tent with a couple of ice packs. As long as the bag remained at the back of the tent our food and drink stayed nice and cool all day. Whenever it was Leo’s naptime we would rock him to sleep and put his pram in the tent. His buggy fit in there perfectly and he was completely protected from the sun and it was much cooler sleeping in there than outside. Oli and I were able to enjoy a couple hours sunbathing everyday while Leo snoozed in the tent next us, no need to try and reapply suncream to a sleeping baby!
Getting set up for the day. |
Unlike some beach shelters, this tent has a zip up front. I absolutely loved this and don’t know how I would have coped if we just had a parasol. At the end of each day we were able to get changed from our soggy beach wear in complete privacy, there’s nothing more difficult than trying to get changed under a towel! It was a great place to change Leo,s nappy away from the sand and the roof was the perfect place to dry wet clothes and towels.
That looks like a great tent! Looks like you had a great time x
This looks such a handy product for a trip to the beach with little one's. I agree there is nothing worse then trying to change a nappy on a beach or get little ones changed under a towel x #TriedTested
We had an amazing time :). I would not have coped without it!xx
Changing under a towel = impossible!xx
