As a mum with two sons I know A LOT about super hero characters. I feel like if I went on Mastermind I would be a fool not to choose Marvel as my specialist subject. At present, Leo loves pretending to be Thanos from Avengers and Alex chases him around the house shouting ‘Hulk Smash!’ in his deepest most threatening voice – it is very funny to watch. Spider Man has always been a firm favourite for both boys though and they really love playing with all their Spider Man toys. My favourite super hero isn’t Spider Man or Iron Man, Captain America or Black Panther or anyone from the pages of a comic book. My favourite super hero, well super heroes, are my two boys. What is it with kids and snacks? I swear my boys would snack all day long if I let them. The mere mention of the S word and I have them both running to the kitchen, trying to raid the cupboards in search of their next fix. I try my best to give the boys healthy snacks like pieces of fruit, vegetable sticks or a piece of peanutbutter on toast or something similar. Sometimes though, these kids of mine want a treat and I am more than happy to occasionally satisfy their sweet tooth. I have always secretly wanted to be a part of a book club. I love reading, I love talking about what I am reading and I am always interested to hear about what others are reading. How cool would it be to share this love of books with others and to read and talk about a book together each month? I have also always thought that being in a book club was just something for middle aged women, the retired ladies with grey hair and the seriously academic types who probably only read Shakespeare or Jane Austin every month. Turns out, I was wrong. You can be in your twenties and be a part of a book club, it’s not weird at all. A fellow blogger sent out a request on Twitter asking for bookworms to join her new book club and I just though, why the hell not? We don’t meet in coffee shops or have a rota for holding monthly meetings in members houses, we congregate in our Instagram DMs and I am absolutely loving chatting books with these ladies. For our first book, the head of the book club chose One Small Thing by Erin Watt. I had never heard of this book before and was excited to give it a try. My boys love books, they take after me in the fact that they are both little book worms. I adore how much they love reading and story time but it does mean our house is overflowing with books. There are two bookcases full of children’s books and an IKEA storage unit is crammed full of the works of the boys favourite authors: Julia Donaldson being Leo’s absolute favourite and Alex has a bit of an obsession with Spot the Dog. With Christmas around the corner, I am bracing myself for piles of new books coming into the house but I am stuck thinking, where the hell are they all going to go?! Book storage is something we can never have too much of in this house and I was thrilled when my lovely friend Sarah, blogger at From Day Dot, offered to let me review one of her handmade wooden storage carts. Using a sling was one of the best parenting decisions I ever made. Life with a newborn is so much easier when you babywear and there is no way I could have coped without one after I had my second baby. Babywearing isn’t just for babies though and slings and baby carriers are a great tool to have in your parenting arsenal even when your child grows into a toddler. Want to hear a secret? Ever since I can remember, I have wanted to write a book. I have always been a massive bookworm, for years I would fall asleep with my glasses still on my face and a book in my hands, the page I was reading lost until morning. I love reading, I love how I can physically just be sat in my living room but, through the power of words on a page, feel like I’m in a whole different place, watching the excitement and drama of someone else’s life unfold. Books really are amazing.

I have always admired how authors are able to make you feel so many strong emotions just through the sentences they have creatively crafted together.  There have been times I have slammed books closed in frustration, cried my eyes out with what feels like genuine grief at the demise of a main character and times I have laughed so hard it hurts. That’s my dream right there; I would love to write a story that people really invested in, that moved them and made them really feel something. So why haven’t I done it, you might be wondering? Personalised infinity mum necklace review 

I received a beautiful necklace from Kaya Jewellery, I completely adore it and haven’t taken it off since the day it arrived. My infinity mum necklace arrived in a gorgeous little pink box, complete with a polishing cloth to keep it looking shiny and in great condition. The infinity necklace looks like a figure of eight, the infinity symbol, and represents never ending love for the names of the people you have engraved on it. Obviously, I chose to have my boys names engraved on my necklace and I am so pleased with how they came out. The pendant is not big and bulky but it is just large enough to feature both my boys names (Leo and Alex) and for them to be easily read.

The necklace is made from sterling silver and the chain links are the perfect size, not too chunky but not too fragile and dainty either. I actually really like how strong the chain is without being too big, Alex has yanked on it quite a lot and it has managed to survive unscathed. I am going to say that the Kaya jewellery is pretty tough, if it can survive my toddler trying to rip it from my neck then it must be!

The quality of this necklace is amazing, considering it costs only £34.90 and the postage is free, as is the gift wrapping. I would have happily paid more for this necklace and without a shadow of a doubt I will be buying from Kaya Jewellery in the future. For a very long time I have been searching for a book that could rekindle my love of reading. Being a busy mum of two, I really crave the escapism from real life that a book can offer but I have been struggling to find a story that was able to hold my attention. Introducing lumps and more textured food to your baby’s diet can be pretty scary. I know with both of my boys I got really stressed about them choking as they progressed from their first tastes of puree onto more lumpy meals. I have always used a mixture of homemade and shop bought baby food when weaning my babies. As they transition from smooth to more textured food, I like to buy jars before making their food myself, it helps to give me an idea of what sort of consistency their food should be for this stage of weaning.
