‘Daddy, you’re my hero’ – Celebrating Super Dads with Hallmark this Father’s Day

Recently Leo and his Daddy have been a bit obsessed with playing super heroes. You know the game, right? The one where you run around the house pretending to ‘blast’ the baddies and acting out imaginary fight scenes with each other, the more theatrical of us may also put on a mask and cape to get truly into character. Well, lately, Oli is no longer known as ‘Daddy’ in Leo’s eye’s, he is Batman, Leo is Robyn and Alex is baby Robyn (when I get the privilege of being invited to join in, my alter ego is Bat Girl). Seriously, these two are constantly playing super heroes, it has just become a normal part of our day now, no one bats an eyelid when Leo declares he is off to the Bat Cave (the bathroom) or his baby brother is suddenly being called by his super hero name. Leo and his Dad may love to play make believe super heroes but it is clear that Oli is Leo’s hero in the real world too, he is Super Dad.

Celebrate your Super Dad with Hallmark this Father’s Day

To show Oli just how much Leo looks up to him and thinks he is a real life Super Hero, I asked my eldest boy to tell me exactly what he loves about his Daddy, this is what he had to say…

So, Leo loves his Daddy and, as he may have mentioned about 50 times in the video, they are the best of friends. I really do adore watching these two together and although Alex is too little to understand the complex imaginary play of Batman and Robyn vs The Joker, Oli is definitely Super Dad to the baby in the family too. I am sure Baby Robyn can’t wait to be big enough to join in with all the fun and games.

This year for Father’s Day Hallmark have some adorable Super Hero soft toys available to buy and they are the perfect little novelty gift for all the Super Dads out there. In the Itty Bitty range there are lots of Marvel favourites including Spider Man and Iron Man and also lots of DC characters too, Leo was overjoyed when Batman and Robyn arrived in the post.

We received Batman, Robyn, The Flash and Iron Man and Oli was made up with them all. Not only does Oli love to play Super Heroes with Leo he is also a massive comic book movie fan so, though they may be soft toys, these Itty Bitty’s were a perfect gift for him. Oli loves them and obviously Leo loves them too, they are now taking their super hero play to a whole new level! You can check out the full range of comic book character Itty Bitty’s on the Hallmark website, they really are just too cuddly!

So, if you have a Super Dad, are married to a Super Dad or maybe you are Super Dad, these comic book hero cuddly Itty Bitty’s  are a lovely little gift for Father’s Day (Sunday 18th June in case you weren’t sure!). A cup of tea in bed, a lovely card, your very own mini hero and hours of fun and games with your little sidekick, sounds like a pretty good day to me!

Happy Father’s Day to all you Super Dads out there, to my own amazing Dad and to Oli. I couldn’t have wished for a more wonderful Daddy for the kids, seeing you with our boys makes me so happy every single day.

Do you have a little one obsessed with Super Heroes too? If you are a comic book movie obsessed Dad, what do you think of these Super Hero Itty Bitty’s? Yes, soft toys are usually for kids but these make great little collectables and are perfect for adding even more fun to a game of Super Heroes.

These are soooooo cute. I think the kids would steal them and not let Chris play with (I mean treasure) them 🙂 #bloggerclubuk
