*Sponsored guest post*

If you are into gadgets and new inventions AND you are pregnant, then prepare for a post that is right up your street. Today I have a really interesting guest post from the team at Aniball. Aniball is a product that helps you prepare your pelvic floor ready for labour and can even reduce your risk of tearing during delivery – who wouldn’t want that? I hope you find this post useful pregnant mamas, there are definitely some things I want to try out (number 1 being the most urgently needed!).

6 clever gadgets that can help mums during pregnancy and labour

In the last decades, childbirth went from sterile, sometimes intimidating experience in green hospital rooms, to a 2.0 experience where moms-to-be benefit from ground breaking technologies and pregnancy devices and medical miracles happen.

Are you expecting and wondering if can you use some widgets and nifty gadgets to prepare you better for the experience of childbirth? Or just looking to ease your life in the high stage of pregnancy or during the labour? Pour yourself some healthy juice, sit down, relax, put a pillow under your feet and read through our top 6 picks:

  1. Razor extension handle

The Giraffe (we love the name) is a razor extension handle that can help you reach places you normally would not because of the bump, safely hiding your gem. If you miss that smooth feeling of shaved legs, go for it. A happy mum means a happy baby.

  1. Play music, sounds, and voices to your baby

The BellyBuds device allows you to play music, sounds and voices “to your belly”. Scientists proved that babies hear it and can even remember it on a deeper level. Up to you if you want a little Mozart or will just simply record and play voices of your family.

  1. Protect your baby from invisible ever-present enemy

Microwaving popcorn your pregnant body craves so badly? Working from home on your laptop, constantly on a phone, sitting next to a wi-fi router? You might have heard about radiation exposure. BellyArmor is a “shield” that protects your baby. It comes in the form of blankets, shirts, camisoles, even hats for babies.

  1. Decode signals your pregnant body is sending to you

A device called Bloomlife sticks onto your belly and sends data to your smartphone. What kind? For example, it tracks contractions like a Swiss watch. It even detects “false” contractions known as Braxton Hicks. It helps you prepare to be “all set” for labour.

  1. Afraid of pain during labour? What if there is something else than exercise, breathing techniques, and slow kegels to prepare you for it?

Well, Elle Tens even reduces it. You control electrodes attached to your back with a remote. All it takes is one push of a button that delivers pulses to stimulate your nerves and muscles. Women and midwives swear by it.

The other option is to prepare for the birth by exercising with a special balloon called Aniball. It allows your muscles to get ready for the labour and lowers the risk of injuries. The Aniball can also help pregnant and new mums to deal with incontinence.

  1. Cuddle with a pillow to easy your body and mind

Pregnancy pillows are hot topic these days. They help to ease your discomfort and allows your body to relax, not only when sleeping. We recommend something branded and proven such as Sanggol or Queen Rose.

Love any of those? Be sure to consult your doctor before buying. After all, the doctor knows best.

We know one thing, after benefiting from those gadgets, who knows, maybe one day your little one will develop a similar cutting-edge tool! After all, children are our future. And if you ask us, it is bright.

I sooo need a pregnancy pillow already and I’m only 22weeks, I can’t remember what a comfortable nights sleep feels like. Also, an extendable razor to get rid of the Yeti legs? Yes please! The Aniball sounds amazing too, I’m terrified of being left incontinent after this third baby is born so anything that can help reduce that risk is definitely going on my shopping list.

Thank you Aniball for sharing these really clever products with all us pregnant mamas.

So, have you used any of these products? If you are pregnant, are there any you would like to try out?

I used the tens machine in my first labour and it allowed me to stay at home for longer. I also swore by my twin pregnancy belt support in my second pregnancy to help me carry the bump

I didn’t use any apps except a contraction timer. First time round that was a computer based one which you pressed the space bar each time one started. How times have changed!
