Baby’s first bath with HiPP Free From range

Baby’s first bath with HiPP Free From range

Ahh, don’t you just love the feel of a newborn baby’s skin? So soft and silky and perfect. With skin so delicate and sensitive it is no wonder us Mums can be a bit fussy when it comes to the products we decide to use on our baby’s skin. Unfortunately, Alex was born with seriously dry and flaky skin, it was so bad on his hands and feet that it was all scabbed and sore. The midwife banned us from using anything on his skin (not even water) until it had cleared up. After a couple weeks of no bath time, once Alex’s skin was better I couldn’t wait to get him in the water and try out the new Free From range from HiPP, a selection of baby care products free from all nasties and perfect for use on newborn skin.

HiPP Free From baby care range review.

In September 2016 HiPP launched a brand new range of baby care products. The Free From range products are ideal for using on newborn and baby skin as they don’t include any ingredients that may be damaging to  sensitive skin or cause allergies. After Alex having problems with his skin right from birth I was pleased to see that the HiPP range wouldn’t irritate his skin further and I was happy to use it when we were finally able to give him his first proper bath.

The new range from HiPP includes Goodnight Baby bath wash, Head to Toe Baby wash and Baby Shampoo. All the products come with the ‘no tears’ stamp which, I think, is a must for baby products as it can be really difficult to avoid getting water in your wriggly newborn’s eyes during a hair wash!

We used the Goodnight Baby Bath in warm water and Alex seemed so relaxed and happy in the water. The wash doesn’t have a strong smell, just a sandalwood fragrance, so Alex didn’t come out of the water with a typical ‘just had a bath smell’ but he did smell lovely and clean.

We have also tried out the Baby Shampoo from the Free From range, like the baby wash the shampoo is not fragranced but it left Alex’s hair feeling super soft and fluffy. I am a bit tempted to steal some of it as I am  jealous of Alex’s super silky hair.

After Alex’s first proper bath he seemed very relaxed and happy and seemed ready for a cuddle and to settle down for bed.  We will definitely be making bath time with Goodnight Baby Bath part of our bedtime routine from now on! As well as the products we used at bath time the Head to Toe Wash is perfect for giving your little one a quick wash when there is not enough time (or they’re too tired!) to splash around in the bath.

Leo has also been testing out the new Free From range and for the first time ever he has enjoyed washing his hands using the Foaming Hand Wash. Thanks to the cute duck head dispenser Leo and I no longer battle when it comes to washing his hands and he instead eagerly runs to the sink waiting for his hands to be washed. The Foaming Hand Wash feels really gentle on your skin and leaves your hands feeling as soft as a baby’s bum. I will say the soap comes out of the duck pretty quick so, unless you want a bathroom/toddler covered in soap, don’t let your little one loose with the dispenser!

We have all enjoyed testing the new HiPP Free From range and I extra love the products as I know they are not doing any harm to my children’s skin.

Baby Alex can’t wait for his next bath already.

If you like the sound of the HiPP Free From baby care range it is available to buy exclusively from Tesco. To find out all about the range, full details are available on the HiPP website.

Looks really good! I have to say I love the HiPP brand. We switched to their formula after a fee Weeks on another brand and the different in my baby was amazing. I love how organic their products are. I will be keeping my eye out for the bath stuff in Tesco next time I do a big shop. Thanks!

We just used water on our son for months. No bubbles. We now use whatever and he doesn’t seem to be suffering at all from it! Which is good, he must have his Dadddys skin as mine is sensitive! THanks for linking to #fortheloveofBlog

Oooh I love the look of this range Wendy! I am always on the look out for great baby and toddler body product ranges as our eldest has super sensitive skin so I’ve always been really cautious on what I put on our little guy too. We love Child’s Farm and Aveeno Baby, but I’d love to give the Hipp range a go too. That handy wash looks very fun! Thanks for sharing this on #MarvMondays. Emily
